About the theatre

🎭 The “Stray Dog of San Pedro” Theater is a union of people deeply in love with the art of theater. It was born in 2015 at a Russian school in San Pedro, California.

Спектакль «Антигона» поставлен по одноименной пьесе Ж.Ануя, за основу которой автор взял древнегреческую трагедию Софокла. Пьеса  написана и поставлена драматургом в 1943 году в окуппированном фашистами Париже. Бунт главной героини против лицемерия и бесчеловечности власти, обывательского маленького счастья звучит  пронзительно и в наше время.
